going back to this one-shot... I dunno really what to make of it...
a mixture of rhyme-less poem and a random short story...
this just became my favorite yongseo one-shot so far... idk... my taste buds feels weird...
okay, time to shut up now...
here it is...
my enigma...
It was spring when I first tasted blood from a broken nose...
she was floating in a branch by that lone tree, feet dangling
I was flying my kite on the brisk air
she was counting clouds with her bare hands...
she pointed one and mumbled to herself
“that one is a cow...”
I laughed out loud and she lost her balance
Minutes later, I was saving my life
the girl started chasing me with her fist...
It was summer when I first smelled cow's poop from landing on one
she was singing by herself on that broken fence
I was standing close to redeem my broken nose
she bobbed her head from side-to-side with eyes shut tight
I laughed out loud and called her names
Moments later, I was flying on a ditch
the girl could kick so well...
It was autumn when I first felt how painful to fall on a dead old tree
she was stretching her arms up on that starry night
I was moving close to give her a shock
she was catching stars and was throwing them back
I laughed out loud and forgot why I was there
Seconds later, she was on top of me feeding me grass
the girl was a monster, indeed!
It was winter when I first heard her cry
she was sitting under the old dead tree curled in a ball
I was standing there unable to move
she cried softly against the cold of the night
I tried to laugh out loud but my voice got stuck
In a matter of seconds, I was on my knee
she took my hanky and blew her nose
the girl was a surprise after all...
another spring,
another summer,
another autumn,
and another winter had passed
the girl became the puzzle I started to solve...
another spring,
another summer,
another autumn,
and another winter had passed
the girl I followed on just like a shadow...
another spring,
another summer,
another autumn,
and another winter had passed
the girl asked why I stayed behind...
another spring,
another summer,
another autumn,
and another winter had passed
my answers never changed
it was the way she named the clouds
it was the way she sang her songs
it was the way she held her stars
it was the way she cried her tears
another spring,
another summer,
another autumn,
and another winter had passed
I asked the girl asked why she remained by me...
another spring,
another summer,
another autumn,
and another winter had passed
her answers never changed
it was the way I laughed at her
it was the way I listened to her songs
it was the way I watched her catch her stars
it was the way I wiped her tears
another spring,
another summer,
another autumn,
and another winter had passed...
she remained my enigma
I stayed by her side...
