SNSD IS SO MUCH MORE THAN 9 GIRLS 2

These facts were compiled through various radios with the girls + fan accounts + shows they’ve been on. A lot of people seem to know only the SNSD on stage. Some of them are funny, others display their unity, and while most are just “WTF” kind of facts.

- Taeyeon said that she’s been hot lately, so she goes out near the living room to sleep without a blanket, but when she wakes up there’s a blanket magically on her. Meaning one of the members put it on her.
- The girls regularly have “5 minute talks” when they come back to the dorm to talk about their day.
- The girls give the single room to Fany because she doesn’t have a home in Korea and too much stuff.
- Before every performance (since debut) they do the “right now it’s SNSD” with their hands in a big circle. JeTiHyun said they did it during Oppa Nappa performances it too but it didn’t feel right because not all members were present. Sooyoung says it’s weird when even one member is left out.
- In the van, Fany puts her music too loud, Hyoyeon talks too much with the manager and Yuri sings out loud without knowing it
- When angry, Seohyun throws dolls; Fany spits because she talks too fast; Yuri talks to herself (to cheer up), stalks, and writes lists of complaints about the person she’s not happy with.
- There are keroro stickers everywhere in their old dorm
- They eat in a buffet style at restaurants
- Since there are 9 girls, they write their name on their stuff
- The girls gave Sica leftover cake for her birthday because they didn’t have enough time and was filming too many things that day, Sica was still happy though because they cared.
- Since Seohyun is the youngest she had to wait for the blender to make her drink and when it was her turn, it broke and they all jokingly blamed her.
- They (Hyoyeon) love going to the convenient store/market (esp. for food). SNSD put a lot of stuff in the cart and when they all went to their van because they were tired, Hyoyeon all took out the useless stuff because they didn’t need them.
- Hyoyeon and Yoona were seen riding their bikes in public. Apparently the bike Yoona was using was a fan gift for Yuri.
- They want to have a driver license and go on a roadtrip with only the 9 of them one day
- They videocall each other on holidays and others get jealous because of it
- When together, they talk too much and too loud, so they usually disturb the neighbors because of it and they’re sorry
- They wake up each other in aggressive ways
- They have weird birthday parties (Animal costumes for Yuri’s birthday)
- The morning after their 1st anniversary party, they immediately blew up the inflatable pool Soshified gave them and took pictures of them all together in it (minus Yoona, she took one later)
- At Hollywood Bowl 08, they came wearing lollipops t-shirts with their name written on it (which made them look like kids on a school trip lol)
- The most frequently asked questions for SNSD used to be ‘Are you a boy or a girl ?’ ‘Why do you eat so much ?’ ‘Why is the sound of your laughter like that?’
- They are hardcore fangirls. When they fangirl, they squeal and giggle like no other (ex : Dennis Oh, Danniel Henney, Na Yoonkwon, V.O.S, BoA, etc.)
- Taeyeon found out by opening Tiffany’s diary that she keeps movie tickets and writes the name of the person she went with.
- The girls used to have cooking battles at home.
- SNSD wore the t-shirts Thai fans gave them at the SM Town 08 Concert in Bangkok.
- They compare their voices with food.
- Yuri and Sooyoung add weird dance adlibs in their choreography.
- Jessica and Tiffany’s cooking scare SNSD and make them desperate. Tiffany thought a Tuna salad sandwich was really just Tuna and bread. Jessica one time cooked too much food, she doesn’t know how to measure correctly, and Sooyoung basically made fun of her for it, so to prove Sooyoung wrong, Jessica ate all of it.
- Fany is scared of babies/kids and talks to them with honorifics without knowing.
- The girls are close to each other that they even call their parents, Mom or dad. Sooyoung’s mom even said that Yuri would be a great son in law.
- When one of the members has individual activities, they get extremely lonely so the girls often visit/stalk them (I think this one mostly fits Yuri. Yuri used to call Yoona on set so much just to hear Yoona’s voice that Yoona had to turn off her phone during recordings. Yuri was at the Madame B performance for JeTiHyun cheering like a fangirl, and used to stay up at night to tune in to Chinchin & Chunji (with Sunny) and make call-ins as random listeners.
- First thing they do once they get home is practice (late at night).
- They tried to get to manager into the pool when they were having fun in Thailand, even if they had to kick him lol (Jessica)
- Once, they flooded their dorm because one member forgot to close the laundry machine and they had to clean it all up in the morning except that the Ice Princess (Jessica) was still sleeping.
- They could choose to take the private exit at the airport but they decided to greet their fans by taking the public exit. (Thai concert)
- Sooyoung takes SNSD as models to practice photography.
- Taeyeon kept on hearing weird noises in their dorm. It was in fact Tiffany who sneaked a dog in and begged if they could keep him. His name is Romeo!
- Seohyun is so caring about her members’ health that she always packs vitamins and other healthy stuff for them to eat while they are away from home.
- Taeyeon used to take utensils and things at broadcasting stations and put them in her purse just in case the other members need something to use, she’d be ready.

- Seohyun once cried in front of a mirror because she looked too ugly.
- It’s known that three children in Sunny’s family have the same birthday… interesting fact is that the actual mathematical possibility of this is lower than winning a lottery or getting stuck by lightning!
- Jessica and Sooyoung once tried to set up a three-girl group called called Goneko (kittens in Japanese I believe?), but the plans fell through.
- Sooyoung once saved her mom’s number on the phone as Jo Insung, her idol.
- SNSD once left home without Tiffany by accident, and Tiffany actually came running after them in tears.
- In the beginning their manager had serious worries about their food budget, which was actually higher than Super Juniors! (who has more members and are guys!) So the manager told them there would be no more meat for them unless they hit #1.
- Yuri was VERY skinny early in her SNSD career (eh, even more than now?), but after appearing in the sitcom with Sooyoung, her weight increased by 5kg! Interestingly, Sooyoung didn’t gain any weight at all over the same time period.
- Sooyoung was once so hungry that she went into the Korean BBQ house ALONE and had two servings of beef + dwenjjang chiggae (apparently her record is 6 servings on her own!)
- Seohyun once tried to stick all 1000 keroro stickers she had around the dorm, and the attempt was promptly stopped by her unnis.
- Yuri once pulled a prank where she tied the shoelaces of the shoes of other 8 members to each others and ran away. (lol, prankster Yuri).
- Hyoyeon’s mom once had Hyo audition just so that she might get a chance to see H.O.T!
- Back in the training days Hyoyeon changed her hair colour at least once a week, and Yuri and Seohyun were both scared of her for a while!
- When Tiffany first started Yoga, she was very enthusiastic about it and begged her instructor to teach her well. Then she quit after 3 days. =p
- The one who usually picks out Hyoyeon’s mistakes in dancing is ironically Tiffany (ironic because she is thought by some to be the least skilled dancer; I believe she admitted to this herself once).
- Tiffany, Sunny, and Go Ara (an actress with SM) once went over to Karaoke after dinner initially just to kill time to digest the food… in the end it took them 4 hours to come out!
- Back in her training days, Jessica was a member of the school soccer team (and was apparently very good). SM made her quit because they were worried that she might hurt her face.
- Back when she tried out for Route O, Sooyoung’s opponent for the final round of auditions was Lee Yeon Hee out of all people (who’s actually an actress now with SM, not a singer!).
- Yuri once had an oppa friend that she liked, but he only saw her as a little brother (yes, brother) figure! According to Yuri, he regrets it a LOT now.
- Yuri and Sooyoung once went over to a public bath house and was noticed by other high school girls there, who in the end figured that SNSD wouldn’t come to such place and left without saying a word to them.
- Sunny once asked YoonA what she feels herself is the worst at. YoonA responded “I’m bad at singing”. (wtfbbq? Come on YoonA, you’re quite good!)
- Taeyeon once set up a banana peel on the floor and made a bet with others to see if anyone would step on it and slip. LOL.
- Taeyeon has three on her right ear and two on her left. Tiffany has four on her right ear (though usually she’s seen with two) and two on her left. Hyoyeon has 4 or 5 on her right ear. She also has her belly button pierced. I’m pretty sure apart from them the rest of the members have one in each ear (:
- There was a time during their Genie promotions when maknae always ate pumpkins. There’s a saying that when you eat yellow things, you turn yellow. So, Taeng saw maknae’s hands and asked her why they were yellowish. Maknae was like, idk unnie. And back home, Taeng saw that maknae’s whole body was yellow and made her stop eating pumpkins xD
